Winnunga Gala Dinner – Celebrating 30 years!

Marking 30 years since its establishment in 1988, Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services (Winnunga) will be hosting a Gala Dinner to celebrate this wonderful milestone. The Gala Dinner will take place at the National Portrait Gallery, Wednesday 12th September from 6:30pm to 11pm.

Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services (WNAHCS) is an important part of the local Canberra community, and is an Aboriginal community controlled primary health care service operated by the Aboriginal community of the ACT.

The Gala Dinner is a significant opportunity to thank all the wonderful people, supporters and stakeholders that have so generously and positively contributed to Winnunga Nimmityjah’s successful journey.

Hosted by Dan Bourchier

Dan Bourchier is a multi-award winning multi-platform journalist with the ABC. He is a broadcaster and hosts a daily breakfast radio program on ABC Radio Canberra, and anchors ABC Canberra’s 7pm news. He has reported across the country and around thworld for close to 20 years. He was driven to news and reporting from an early age, and began a traineeship at the Tennant and District Times as a teenager still at school. Dan is driven by giving voice to the voiceless, holding to account those in positions of power, and telling really great stories

Special Performance by Baker Boy

Baker Boy aka Danzel Baker is a dancer, artist & actor. From Milingimbi in North East Arnhem Land he is the first Indigenous rapper to rap in Yolngu Matha that has broken into the mainstream
